This photograph was taken during a sound check during George’s Symphonica tour in 2011 and 2012 when he fulfilled an ambition to tour and perform alongside an orchestra at some of the most beautiful amphitheatres and venues around the world. He not only performed a carefully chosen selection of his own material from his remarkable near 30-year career, but he also covered some of the best loved standards as well as favourite songs from other artists.  In France, George Michael made history when he became the first pop star ever to perform a concert at the prestigious Palais Garnier Opera House in Paris on September 9th, 2012.
